Airphone Lite (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting user data. This Privacy Policy explains how the Airphone Lite Chrome Extension (“Extension”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information.

This policy applies specifically to the Airphone Lite Chrome Extension available via the Chrome Web Store.

1. Overview

Airphone Lite is a browser extension designed to enable click-to-call functionality from web pages and CRM platforms. The extension detects phone numbers displayed on webpages and allows users to initiate calls through their configured telephony system.

The extension operates locally within the user’s browser.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally

The extension stores the following configuration information using the Chrome Storage API:

• PBX/Domain address

• Extension number

• Display name

• Encrypted password (if entered by user)

• User settings/preferences

This information is stored locally within the user’s browser and is not transmitted to Airson Telecom servers.

2.2 Website Content Access

The extension may read webpage content to:

• Detect phone numbers displayed on the current page

• Inject a click-to-call button next to detected numbers

The extension:

• Does NOT store webpage content

• Does NOT transmit webpage content to any external server

• Does NOT track browsing history

Website content is processed locally and temporarily for number detection only.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

Airphone Lite does NOT collect:

• Personally identifiable information (PII)

• Financial or payment information

• Health information

• Web browsing history

• Location data

• Personal communications

• Keystrokes

• Analytics tracking data

3. How We Use Information

Information stored locally is used solely to:

• Authenticate the user with their configured telephony system

• Enable click-to-call functionality

• Maintain extension preferences

We do not use user data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Transfer

We do not:

• Sell user data

• Rent user data

• Share user data with third parties

The extension communicates only with the telephony server configured by the user (e.g., PBX domain entered in settings). Any communication occurs directly between the user’s browser and their configured telephony system.

5. Host Permissions Explanation

The extension requests host permissions (<all_urls>) to:

• Detect phone numbers on web pages

• Inject call buttons next to numbers

No webpage content is stored or transmitted externally.

6. Storage and Security

• Data is stored locally using Chrome’s secure storage APIs.

• Credentials are stored in the browser environment only.

• Users may remove all stored data by:

  • Clearing extension storage

  • Uninstalling the extension

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect local data from unauthorized access.

7. Remote Code

Airphone Lite does NOT execute remote code that modifies extension behavior.

All extension scripts are packaged within the extension itself in compliance with Chrome Web Store policies.

8. User Control

Users may:

• Edit or delete stored configuration at any time

• Disable number detection

• Uninstall the extension to permanently remove all data

Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data.

9. Children’s Privacy

Airphone Lite is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
